Spookin' It Up In Htown

Greetings, Ghouls! I’ve got two announcements to share. The first is that I will be reading my work in support of the Houston Writers of Color event in the Heights area on October 24th. They invited me, and I’m happy to show up because they are a lovely group of writers. Details are below, RSVP here! If you’re local, I would love to see you. I’ll be reading from my new book of poetry. Oh, did I mention I have a new book of poetry coming out? :D

I can now announce that my next full-length collection of poetry, QUEER BIRDS, has been picked up by Raw Dog Screaming Press. RDSP is one of my favorite small horror presses, and I’m delighted that Jennifer and the poetry editor, Stephanie, loved this book enough to publish it. This book is about growing up in the 90s and how horror has been a lifeline for me. There is a lot of personal stuff in it, and I would categorize it as mostly confessional. So it’s a very close and special work for me.
